Please join Kathie in a fully immersive plein air painting experience on beautiful Lake Martin where we will paint iconic Russell Cabins, boats and boathouses , as well as barns and farmhouses in historic Waverly, Alabama..
Kathie is a Signature member of both the American Impressionists Society and Oil Painters of America. She describes her work as “Nostalgic Impressionism” and anyone familiar with her unique renderings of structures in the landscape, from old barns to antebellum homes, understands that description.
Class size is limited to ten students. Students who register for both of Kathie’s “back-to-back” 3-day workshops will enjoy a free day of painting on our 3-acres lakefront property in-between the plein air workshop and the studio workshoop. This provides a unique opportunity to spend six days learning with Kathie, painting plein air studies and then transforming them into larger paintings in the studio under Kathie’s inimitable guidance.
